When Should You Get Your Travel Vaccinations

You should visit and consult your doctor 6-12 weeks before your departure date to ensure enough time to go through the vaccine course, as some require multiple shots with varying waiting periods.

It is best to get your travel injections in Australia administered by your trained GP.

Getting Your Travel Vaccine

Before coming in for your vaccine, you will first need to make an appointment, where you will be asked a series of preliminary questions. Your appointment is done in 2 stages.

1. You will come in for a consultation to discuss your trip destination(s), length, other conditions, diseases, or medications you are taking. You will be required to bring documentation of any previous vaccinations you have had in the past.

2. Your doctor will administer the recommended vaccines. If multiple shots are needed to complete a vaccination course, your doctor will schedule the visit after the required waiting period between shots.
