What is Cryotherapy?
Cryotherapy is a minimally invasive treatment with a range of uses, including benign lesions and some precancerous and cancerous growths. It involves the use of very cold liquid nitrogen, to kill off any unwanted cells, which harmessly fall off. It can cause some stinging sensations, and can be sensitive for a few days.

When Might Cryotherapy Be Recommended?
Skin Tags
Skin tags are harmless growths of skin that are very common. They don’t cause any harm, but can look unsightly to some, or can be irritating depending on their location. Cryotherapy is an effective method of quickly and harmlessly removing skin tags. If you notice a new growth on your skin, you should always seek out a doctor’s opinion.
Warts
Warts are small, firm bumps on the skin. They are caused by a virus, but are not harmful. Depending on their location, they can be a cause of discomfort, for example with plantar warts. Warts can be treated with cryotherapy. It may require the use of more than one treatment to remove larger/resistant warts.
Lesions
Many different skin lesions can be treated with cryotherapy. Benign, precancerous and some early cancerous growths can all be effectively treated with cryotherapy. It can also be used as a preventative measure, by removing precancerous cells that have potential to grow and spread.
