Replacing missing teeth

Dentures, or plates as they are sometimes called, are used to replace missing teeth. If a denture is used to replace all of your missing teeth, it is called a full denture. If a denture is used to replace only the missing teeth it is called a partial dentures. They can be made of either acrylic or metal.

Dentures restore your ability to eat and speak. They improve the look of your mouth, face and your smile. When teeth are lost in the mouth, the remaining teeth have to work harder and hence their life is reduced. Partial dentures provide additional support for your remaining teeth, providing them with longer life.
