King Street Dental & Medical is a full service practice with dentists, bulk billing doctors as well as allied health services on-site. With a pharmacy opening soon, our centre also includes a coffee house with courtyard garden seating and a community garden.

Our newly built facility uses natural design elements to help our guests feel welcome and at ease during their time in the centre. Come and visit us for an appointment or anytime in-between to enjoy a coffee or snack in our garden.

Concept and Build of Premises

From the original concept to the actual build of the premises, King Street Dental & Medical has been supported by local community members. The creative team, trades personnel and promotion and marketing have all been led by local Illawarra-based small businesses.

The Port Kembla Men’s Shed have constructed the beautiful planter boxes in the outdoor community garden seating area.

Representing the Magnificent Illawarra Landscape

Each of the dental and medical rooms display breathtaking murals of the Illawarra landscape with photos taken by local photographers. One of our favourites is Lake Illawarra, taken by Brad Chilby, a 7th generation Wollongong local with in an depth knowledge of the Illawarra and surrounding areas.

COVID-19 Packs for the Community

With the COVID-19 pandemic resulting in shortages of essential supplies, the team at King Street Dental & Medical and their families were busy making up packs for the community which included hygiene products, masks and hand sanitisers.

Over 500 packs were distributed to the local nursing home, senior citizens of the Warrawong library, and delivered to house-bound customers.

The Great Illawarra Walk

The Great Illawarra Walk is an annual charity event that supports the local community and its members. In 2021 the fundraising event supported Chloe Saxby by raising money for research into Vanishing White Matter Disease. King Street Dental & Medical alongside Wave FM set up a station along the route to distribute water bottles and free coffee to walkers from King Street Coffee. Staff and their families participated in this memorable event and helped raise funds for this great cause.

Rangeela Reloaded

King Street Dental & Medical are a proud sponsor of Nachle Dance School’s performance of ‘Rangeela Reloaded’, a Bollywood Dance Extravaganza performed at the IPAC with profits donated to projects supported by ‘Asian International Students of Australia (AISA)’, a not-for-profit organisation. What a spectacular event with amazing performers, costumes and dances!

Family Initative to help community through COVID 19 Lockdown

A Family Initiative to Help the Community Through the COVID-19 Lockdown

Dr Shabbir and Rehana Kermali have found innovative ways to provide resources to the community with the help of their children.
Their eldest daughter Inaaya created educational books for children with activities to teach children about healthy teeth, healthy eating, and hand hygiene. Over 2000 books were delivered to schools and preschools across the Illawarra.
This was followed by the creation of ‘King Street Kids’ which is an online resource for educators, parents, and children with downloadable activity sheets and educational resources.
Dr Kermali and his youngest daughter Leena have created educational YouTube videos on various topics including hand hygiene to show children the correct way to wash their hands to prevent the spread of germs.
The Kermali children also launched a Tik Tok account showing the vaccination process and created some fun videos to help cheer people up.

World Kindness Day is an international observance celebrated every year on November 13th. This day promotes kindness to each other, yourself and to your community. For the second year running, King Street Coffee has ‘spread the love’ with free coffee for everyone to enjoy. We believe a cup of coffee is just full of happiness!

The Great Illawarra Walk 2022

King Street Dental & Medical were honoured to sponsor this local fundraising event again this year that raised funds in support of Athletes With Disability (AWD) through the Illawarra Academy of Sport. What a fantastic turn out for the annual 40km charity day. There were cloudy skies, moments of rain but plenty of sunshine and lots of community encouragement along the way. Side by side with Wave FM, our volunteers cheered the participants along through the Warrawong leg of the course, handing out water bottles and free coffee vouchers from King Street Coffee which was an absolute hit!

King Street Dental & Medical is conveniently located at 67 King Street, Warrawong, next to Warrawong Library and Plush Furniture.

We have plenty of parking available on Carlotta Crescent, at the northern end of Darcy Wentworth Park. Our facility is located at the corner of King Street & Hoskins Avenue.
